Doing our own shopping is important to all of us. We like to choose our own food as it's such a basic need and we like what we like. Unfortunately, sometimes it can be difficult getting the shopping done and that's when our volunteers can help.
If you've had an accident or illness or feel less confident when the weather is bad you might want someone to go with you.
You might want to do your shopping yourself and just need someone to get you there or maybe you need someone to walk around with you or push you in your wheelchair.
Our volunteers will help you get essential supplies or they will walk around the shop with you, helping whenever you need assistance and leaving you to it when you can manage things yourself.

Our Emergency Shopping service relies on donations so please use the donate button to support our volunteers to help a person do their own shopping for as long as possible.
Support Us
A £5.00
donation pays for a driver to take an older person to hospital or an appointment. This helps them remain healthier, longer.
A £10.00 donation pays for two friends to have lunch at our centre. We hold lunches every second Thursday and have a committed group of volunteers who do the preparation.
A £20.00 donation pays for the time it takes for our centre staff to help an older person get the professional support they need.
